August 31, 2009 · Comments Off The San-Gwyn City Trilogy by Year of the Dog Films - I recently met an up & coming filmmaker David Pope at an industry event here in Los Angeles, after watching two of his short films on Facebook. He is in the states currently working with the UK Film Council and UK Trade and Investment in developing a couple of projects. His previous work includes 3 short horror films, involving zombies, vampires, and werewolves, that are now available online at IndieFlix... [Keep Reading] |

February 10, 2009 · Comments Off The CHE (including HFM) have put together their list for the Top 20 Foreign Horror Films of All Time, over at The Vault of Horror. Follow the link to check out the list. Ive stated my issue with the voting criteria before, but instead of continuing to protest it, I just submitted favorites this time in addition to best-of choices. The upside is my list was pretty different from the final results. The downside is my nominees wouldnt even be seen unless someone else... [Keep Reading] |

February 2, 2009 · 3 comments Hotel 626 - I don’t know how I missed it, but the online horror game “Hotel 626” was released sometime late last year (possibly Halloween) and received an FWA award for Site of the Month. It’s a live-action / CG first person pov game where you’re trapped in a haunted hotel and you have to solve a variety of puzzles as well as traverse mazes to escape. It also involves using your webcam and microphone, although not required. The... [Keep Reading] |

October 24, 2008 · Comments Off The staff over at Infini-tropolis posted their Halloween movie Essentials list for 2008 and were kind enough to let me throw in my questionable picks for this year, lol. For my list, I went with the “Watch halloween movies about halloween parties so halloween will feel more like halloween” theme. Or I tried to anyway. Check it out: Infini-tropolis: Halloween Essentials 2008 And feel free to post your own list in the comments below! Read More |

September 19, 2008 · Comments Off Grady Hendrix over at AMC’s Monsterfest touches on the topic I’ve been rambling about here recently: the dissolution of American horror. The reason I’m relaying his post is because he makes a point that I’ve been progressively leaning towards over the past year or so: foreign horror is on the rise. As much as I hate seeing unreleased films being overhyped, Bloody-Disgusting is actually pointing in the right direction this time, it seems. Grady... [Keep Reading] |
